Can I use CBD oil in cooking?
It is not advised to use Amma Life CBD products during the cooking process as very high and prolonged heat will have an effect on the product's quality. However, you can add it to hot soup once cooked, or a hot or cold drink.

Due to varying CBD regulation we can currently only ship within the EU and EEA. The cost of shipping outside of the EU is £9.
Refund and Returns Policy
We do our best to get your order to you in tip top condition however on occasion items can be damaged on route - in this event we will offer you a refund or replacement as long as you let us know within 14 days of receiving your order.
If you change your mind we are happy to refund your order on a number of conditions - items must be returned to us in intact condition and within 14 days of you receiving your order. Once we receive the items, we check them over and process the refund. You will receive an email notification as soon as your refund request has been approved/denied.
Once issued refunds generally take 1-2 working days to appear back on your card. This can vary depending on your bank. If it is still not showing on your statement after 7 days we advise to contact your bank.

What Product would you recommend? What can I use CBD oil for?
According to UK law we cannot make recommendations on which prodct to choose or how CBD may help specific symptoms/illnesses. However we have outlined a few of the factors which you may like to consider when choosing an Amma Life CBD product.
CBD Strength
A general guideline is to consider the strength of the CBD content. The stronger the CBD content in a product, the more effective it is. Our products range from 4% CBD to 30% CBD content. So you could ask yourself:

CBD Solution
Another area to consider is how do I want to take the CBD, or how important is the finished solution? Here is a summary of each product range to help guide you through the products available.
CBD Paste
The CBD paste range contains the strongest CBD content. It is the pure cannabinoid extract with nothing added. It looks like tar and has a strong earthy taste. This is taken by squeezing a small amount out of a syringe (one portion is equivalent to 1-3 grains of rice in size), then taking it orally.
CBD Oil
The CBD oil range is a convenient way of taking CBD and is mixed 50/50 paste with olive oil. This product likes to be left upright once open. This is taken by squeezing a few drops under your tongue with a pipette.
Water Soluble CBDX
The water soluble CBDX range is a spray supplement with around 4% CBD. This is a super convenient way to take CBD, and a great way to carry the product around with you (no leaks from the bottle).
What research is showing about CBD in a water soluble solution is that it is more easily absorbed by the body with increased bioavailability. This method can be up to 10 times more effective. So even though the CBD content is moderate it can be a great and effective choice! This is taken by spraying 1-2 sprays directly into your mouth (it can be on top of your tongue).
Is CBD Oil legal?
The FSA and FDA consider hemp and hemp derived products to be food based. CBD Oil produced from hemp is legal in the UK, and European Union (EU). The Medicines Healthcare product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has recently classed CBD created for medical purposes to be medicine (1st January 2017).

The MHRA has stated the following:
"We have come to the opinion that products containing cannabidiol (CBD) used for medical purposes are a medicine. Medicinal products must have a product licence (marketing authorisation) before they can be legally sold, supplied or advertised in the UK, unless exempt. Licensed medicinal products have to meet safety, quality and efficacy standards to protect public health.".
As a company we sell food supplements, not medical grade hemp or CBD products for medical purposes. We do not add CBD isolates to our products, as the hemp we use has been grown to contain a naturally rich, whole plant extract.
With regards to our oils, we sell a full spectrum hemp extract rich in naturally occurring compounds. We sell food supplements to maintain, support and optimise your well-being and health. This is the MHRA's definition of a food supplement.
Amma Life does not sell CBD for medical purposes and all of our hemp product range are classed as food supplements. We do not make any claims that Amma Life products can have a restorative effect on the human system.
Can I take my CBD product to another country?
We do have customers that do take Amma Life CBD to other countries with them. However this is not something we can offer any advice on, this is often because the guidelines are either unclear or non-existent for this type of product on what Customs from each country permits. We advise that you do your own research into this matter and come to your own conclusion.
Will taking extracts of CBD from hemp make me feel 'stoned' or high?
Hemp cannot get a person 'high' or stoned. Hemp contains very low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), less than 0.2%.
How is hemp oil different to CBD Oil?
It is important for consumers to understand that not all hemp oil contains naturally high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) for food supplement purposes. At Amma Life, we source suppliers who grow licensed hemp with naturally higher levels of CBD. CBD is a compound that is extracted from special strains of hemp that are high in certain compounds. Most hemp oil that you can buy in shops is best used as cold pressed oil that is used for salad dressings and contains essential fatty acid properties. This is different from the health benefits that stems from CBD and supporting the endocannabinoid system. Some unethical merchants sell hemp oil under the guise of CBD Oil. It is also important to understand that different types of hemp are grown for differing purposes. Hemp oil made from industrialised hemp for construction is of a lesser quality than food supplement grade hemp rich in natural CBD.

There has been insufficient research on CBD oil use in pregnant women so we advise against using while pregnant.

There has been insufficient research on CBD oil use in breastfeeding mothers so we advise against using while nursing.
How do I take Amma Life CBD Oil?
It is best to follow the guidelines listed on each bottle and to start on a minimal dosage of 1 to 3 drops per day, slowly increase the amount you take only if it feels appropriate to do so. Place a few drops under your tongue. Allow this to be absorbed directly through your tongue by waiting a few seconds before swallowing.
How much mg of CBD is in each Amma Life CBD Oil bottle?
The amount of mg of CBD in:
- a 10ml bottle is 400 mg of CBD. There is approximately 200 drops of CBD in a 10ml bottle. Therefore there is 2mg per drop.
- 1200 mg of CBD in every 30ml Amma Life 4% CBD Oil bottle
- 2000mg in every 50ml bottle (4% CBD oil).
For the 7.6% CBD oil, 10ml bottle there is 760mg of CBD per bottle. For the CBD paste
If you look at each product on the Buy page, it will state how many drops in each sized bottle.
I have a little Amma Life CBD Oil at the bottom of the bottle, but cannot seem to get it out, what can I do?
Sometimes, it can be hard to get the very last few drops out of the bottle. Our recommendation is to put the bottle (with the lid firmly closed) into a few centimetres of hot water (add hot water to a small cup and sit the Amma Life CBD Oil bottle into the water) so it covers the level of remaining oil for a few minutes. This will make the CBD Oil easier to draw out through the pipette (attached to each lid).
How long does each bottle last before it expires?
Amma Life CBD Oil is a natural product that is perishable. Its shelf-life is approximately 12-18 months from purchase. To maintain its shelf-life, it is best to store the bottle in a cool, dark place e.g. inside a cupboard.
Can you offer me advise on which CBD oil to take or how this can help my condition?
Although we do get lots of feedback from customers about how Amma Life CBD can help with a range of conditions. As a company we are unable to advice on how CBD can help with specific conditions, or recommend specific products for individuals due to strict UK guidelines.

All items are dispatched first class and generally take 1 - 3 working days to arrive. Once dispatched we will send you a notification to let you know your order is on its way. During in busier periods such as Bank Holidays we do advise to allow a few extra days for arrival.
How do I make a payment?
You can pay via Visa/Mastercard or by Bank Transfer.
Choose which option you would prefer at the checkout and you will either be directed through our card payment system or we will send you instructions to proceed with a Bank Transfer payment.
